Yuva Shakti Sahaja Yogini in the news

Excerpt from a letter by the Local Ontario Council to the collective:

"It has recently come to our attention that Shikha - a Yuva-Shakti from our collective did a brave and a selfless act. The Sahaja Yogi girl had donated 60% of her liver part to save the life of another lady.

Her exemplary humanitarian deed has been recognized by the public and media and she is being awarded a Gold Medal by Asian Connection on May 17th 2008 at South Asian Mela - which is conducted every year and attended by over 250,000 people and celebrities from all over. This
news will be covered by nearly 450 newspapers.

Credit also goes to her parents Kusum and Ashwini - whose consent and support helped her take such a bold decision.

By giving this person this precious gift and second chance of life, Shikha has set a remarkable example for all people, especially the Yuva Shakti to follow. We believe that actions speak louder than words and Shikha has certainly shown that by her actions she has truly embodied the true spirit of humankind."
