Sahaja Yoga School in Vancouver (Canada)

A beautiful proposal (download here) was given to Shri Mataji at Guru Puja and we understand She is very happy that we are going ahead with this new School venture.

We are in the process of revising the proposal to be a statement of the vision of the school as a place of Enlightened High Academic Excellence where Shri Mataji's vision of the nurturing and education of a new generation of confident, balanced and fully developed citizens can be accomplished.

As we go forward with making this a reality it is amazing to us to feel the strength of the vibrations supporting us and working out all the details and issues that are coming up in such a dynamic and beautiful way. The Paramchaitanya is truly flowing over us.

We feel this will be a tremendous blessing for Canada and North America not only to establish Shri Ganesha in this land more firmly but it will also help change and work out many things on different subtle levels for children, for education and society itself.

We are looking for a supervisory teacher and a house keeper to help with meal preparations shopping etc.for this September. Please write if anyone has any interest in helping out or in sending their children here in the near future.

We plan to be more fully set up by January but are opening on September 15th. Do look through the proposal attached which was offered to Shri Mataji at Guru Puja by the world council education coordinators, as there are more details within to answer many questions.
much love from Vancouver

As mentioned this past week at the Canadian International Seminar, September 2008 marks the beginning of Canada's first Sahaja Yoga School. This fall the semester will be a directed studies home schooling project. Students will learn under the guidance of a number of Aunties from Vancouver and Seattle who will rotate duties on a weekly basis.

At the start this program will include children in grades 11 through 15. However there is a strong desire to make the school more inclusive of other age groups, as well as to advance the learning of the children by hiring Sahaja Yogis with educational backgrounds.

This venture requires a commitment from parents and students who desire to send their children to a more dharmic school system, but who cannot send their children to India school.

The benefits for our children and our societies, by having a school like this in Vancouver, are nothing short of monumental. Please help us make history again by supporting this project in any way you can. Parents of children interested in knowing more about Canada's first Sahaja Yoga School may contact Felicity Payment at felicitypayment@shaw.ca

Jai Shri Mataji!

Love,
Chad
