As you know, in the five days separating Krishna Puja and Ganesha Puja the World Foundation will be putting on the 3rd edition the World Centre Festival.
There is no charge for participating in the event, aside from paying for your food. However, there are also no hosting countries for this event (as there are for pujas) so we rely on the contribution of all participants to make the event a success, from helping in the kitchens to keeping the camp clean and in order. It is a chance to relive an event in Cabella as they used to be organised by Shri Mataji, where everyone was both host and guest of the event, where collectivity and joy abounded in the single desire to please our Beloved Mother.
Managing the Kitchens
We expect to have to cater for about 600 people every day. We will draw up a schedule for helping in the kitchens using the people who register for meals during the week. In other words, if you eat in the camp you are also cordially invited to help in the preparation and serving of the meals. Lists will be published in the camp, so please make sure you check and see which shifts have been given to you.
Managing the Camp
We are also looking for people who are willing to volunteer some of their time to help in other areas of the festival's management. For example:
• Audio and video in the hangar
• Stage management
• Medical team
• Sale of food vouchers
• Car park management & security
• Camp & hangar cleaning
• Rubbish management
• Help desk
These areas of activity will require some forward planning. If you would like to help in any of these areas please write to Robert Hunter at robert.hunter(at)sahajaworldfoundation.org providing your name and contact details. He will get back to you to coordinate your contribution.
The most difficult step towards getting involved in a Sahaja event is always the first. Once it is taken you soon get wrapped up in the vibrations and it is invariably a joyful, profound and collective experience. This letter is to gently remind you of that, so that you are encouraged and motivated to help your brothers and sisters in Cabella.
