"Dust" by Debbie Eckman

Dust release
Dear brothers and sisters,

After two years in the planning and creating, I have great pleasure in announcing the release of my 1st official single, Dust, on 14th February 2013.  It is based on the beautiful poem by our Holy Mother, which She wrote at the age of just seven:

I want to be smaller
Like a dust particle
Which moves with the wind
It goes everywhere
Can go
Sit on the head of the king
Or can go
And fall at the feet of someone
And it can go
And sit everywhere
But I want to be a particle of dust
That is fragrant
That is nourishing
That is enlightening

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi (circa 1930)

Some of you may have heard an early version of the song when I performed it in July 2011 at the Culture of the Spirit Festival in Cabella, Italy.  For this recording, I was extremely privileged to be joined by two amazing musicians:
Leo Vertunni (son of Victor, who also produced and featured on Victor’s William Blake CD ‘Songs of Innocence & of Experience’)
Thomas Gray (guitarist, composer & musical director who has played with artists including Brian May, Roger Taylor, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Steve Balsamo, Richard Niles and Philip Pope. He also helped me mix and produce the track.)

Dust is dedicated to our Beloved Mother Shri Mataji and also in memory of Her youngest brother, Babamama, who was a great inspiration and father figure to me, and who was always encouraging me to write and sing.
Dust will be available to buy through ITunes from tomorrow (and all major online stockists within the next few weeks) at the price of just £0.99/ $1.29.  Just search for Deborah Eckman - Dust. or try this link (but it won't be live till the 14th):  https://itunes.apple.com/uk/album/dust-single/id602354933?ls=1

I hope to make many more recordings soon, including a song based on Shri Mataji’s poem ‘Mountain’, so your support for Dust will be very much appreciated, as it will help to fund these future projects.

And please spread the word to your friends and family!

Thank you.
